3) Supplements like Zinc, Vitamin D, and Vitamin C
4) Stay 6 feet away from Non Household Contacts

We got our COVID vaccines! The office that inoculates together... Very grateful to Dr Amy Witman/PrivateMD and her staff who spent their Saturday vaccinating the healthcare workers in our medical building. Glad to report just a sore arm for all of us!

As a pediatrician, I deal with vaccines all day every day. I am not old enough to remember when the polio vaccine first became available, but I can imagine that the excitement for it was similar to the excitement for the Covid vaccine's unveiling. Like many others, I have signed up to get the vaccine and am trying to wait patiently (which is hard because I am so excited!). Vaccine science will be forever changed with the advent of this mRNA vaccine. As a doctor who focuses on prevention, I cannot wait to see what the future holds!

Excellent article! Agree 100%. We must share best outpatient protocols in the tx of Covid. Could save many lives. Inpatient nebulizing is not even a choice, for example (to avoid spread).

With #FLU season already here, the #CDC recommends the public to be alert for symptoms such as: #runnynose and watery eyes, #cough, #fever, #MuscleAches, and #malaise, among others.
If so, patients should have testing with the *new Flu-SC2 Multiplex Assay. This allows to test at the same time for infection caused by any one of the 3 viruses: SARS-CoV-2 (#Covid-19), #Influenza A and Influenza B.

As the #HolidaySeason approaches, this is a helpful guide on the risk of acquiring #Covid infection from various types of social activities, from Low, Medium to High risk activities. This is especially important as we aim to open up America again.

#Diabetes Type 2 can present with symptoms such as: increased #thirst, frequent #urination, excessive #hunger, and even unexplained #WeightLoss! The #COVID #pandemic has also had an indirect negative impact on our health because our level of exercise has decreased and obesity has increased, both of which can predispose you to #Diabetes. Visit your #PCP and take control of your health again.

#PreventiveCare is still on during #Covid, and this is especially important for #CancerScreening. #Doctors have put in place lots of #safely measures in their offices, and making it safe for you to visit your #Internist or #PrimaryCare #Doctor for your necessary annual screenings.

Substance Use Disorders have been on the rise since Covid, mostly due to the lack of group therapies and meetings from support groups. Contact your #Psychiatrist today to schedule a #telehealth visit and take back control of your life.

Positive family interactions can help us get through the challenges, as well as the emotional and mental stress of the Covid-19 pandemic.
