My former residency program matched 3 women this year. For those of you who don't know Orthopaedics currently has less than 5% of women in practice with current resident statistics at 11%. I'm grateful to see more women choosing #orthopaedicsurgery. It's time to #change the landscape.

Honestly this is quite frightening to me. Especially with all the private equity gobbling up Emergency Rooms and rearranging staffing with NPs and PAs. I'm not an ER physician but I think about this all the time. If myself or my family member were to need true emergency care whose actually delivering it. Patients have no idea who they are seeing. We have to start somewhere. I know Physicians for Patient Protection https://www.physiciansforpatientprotection.org/ is an organization who advocates for this, but there is so much more at the root of this. I feel like those in the ER trenches are best suited to comment.

Doctors are losing their hard-earned autonomy (years of degrees, med school, residency, internships, and the lot). Why would we let outsiders step in and try to run our own practices? Physician burnout is running rampant and patients are feeling neglected. Find out why MSOs are hurting more than they're helping!

Let's Talk Sh!t!

I learned very little in medical school and residency about the gut microbiome, but the more I read, the more I am convinced that the future of MANY health conditions as we know it lies in the gut.
