Dr. Saraleen Benouni grew up in Los Angeles. She attended the University of California Los Angeles, graduated Magna Cum Laude and received her B.S. degree in Psychobiology. She moved to Milwaukee and attended medical school at Medical College of Wisconsin. She then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the UCLA/Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Benouni completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the UCLA/VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. During her fellowship, she obtained Pediatric Allergy and Immunology training at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
Dr. Benouni specializes in the treatment of asthma, allergies, atopic dermatitis, and immune disorders for both adults and children. She has presented and published research at national allergy meetings and has authored papers on drug allergies and skin conditions. She is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and the Los Angeles Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology. Dr. Benouni lives with her husband and daughter in Los Angeles and is fluent in Farsi.
