Dr. Chadha is a Johns Hopkins Hospital educated and board certified general and forensic psychiatric physician who both treats the brain diseases of the criminally insane and serves as an expert witness in trials. She has a passion for fitness and how the body, mind and spirit come together to build a healthy human.
Dr. Chadha spent most of her life training to be a doctor and found by the time she had completed medical school and entered an internship in medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital that she had neglected her health. Physically, she was at her highest weight and body fat percentage and she could not walk up a flight of stairs without being winded. By the time she started her psychiatric medicine residency her second year at Johns Hopkins, she began seeing the link between the product of the brain and spirit, her mind, and her physical ill health. She knew her mind was attacking her efforts to become physically healthy so she started using her training in learning about brain diseases to correlate what she had learned about the human body. By the time she moved back home to Southern California, she was on a mission. The learning did not end there. Over the past ten years, she has tried many types of exercise and nutrition programs, finally arriving at the conclusion while needing major surgery three years ago and not being able to exercise the same way, that success comes from exercising for the spirit not ego and fueling the body lovingly with a plant based diet.
Dr. Chadha is a very talented and passionate psychiatrist and physician advocate. She cares for the mental health of a very vulnerable prison population in the state of California, and also sees patients via telemedicine.
