Dr. Qureshi was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, and attended Dow Medical school at the University of Karachi, graduating in 1989. From there he came to the United States, and completed a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics internship and residency at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical center in New York City, followed by an adult Cardiovascular fellowship at St. Vincent's Hospital, finishing in 1998. He then entered the private practice of Cardiology, initially in Columbia and Orangeburg, SC. He moved to Charlotte in 2002 to practice with The Heart Center of Charlotte and joined Mecklenburg Heart Specialists in 2006. He is board-certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Internal Medicine. He has expertise in Cardiac catheterization, Peripheral vascular intervention, Coronary intervention, Pacemaker implantation, Vein ablation, and Non-invasive cardiac evaluation and follow-up. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a Fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. Dr. Qureshi is married and has 2 children. In his spare time, Dr. Qureshi enjoys spending time with his family and competes in the sport of Squash.
