Qualifications
Dr. Amelia Villagomez takes an integrative approach and looks at the whole person, starting with a comprehensive and thorough evaluation. Integrative medicine is informed by evidence and makes use of complementary/alternative approaches when appropriate. Treatment plans may include mind-body skills (such as mindfulness), dietary changes, vitamins, therapy, herbs, and supplements. As part of this perspective, Dr. Villagomez prescribes medication when indicated, carefully discussing the associated risks and benefits, and strives to prescribe the lowest effective dose.
